This special waterfront property in Sunset, SC highlights our expertise in tree clearing, grading, and erosion control using a beautiful boulder wall, steps, and walking paths. With an extreme grade, we brought in heavy construction equipment to shape the slope into strategic tiers one level at a time. This lot was very wooded as are most mountain lots for new build construction. We created safe pathways for tree removal equipment to enter the property. We removed numerous trees, carefully graded the whole area, then we were able to begin installation of each level of this expansive boulder wall.
The wall was created with Virginia boulders placed meticulously by a skillful crew, using Geo Grid and drainage behind each wall. The many stairways weaving through the property were of Grey Tennessee step treads. These materials are stunning natural options for walls needed on Lake Keowee lakefront properties. Not only are they a luxurious option, but also very functional in handling the natural water runoff that mountainsides experience. The tiered land is now a stabilized area to hold tight to nutrient-rich topsoil, plantings, and trees.
